Nice looking toddler bed
The bed arrives in a box and so you need to put it together your self. It is relatively simple to make. (that being said I have already put together a chest of draws and a children's kitchen so I was in a building mode) The most awkward part is when you have to get the slates between the two base sides. The best way is the screw the center beam loosely and they slowly and carefully push the slates in. I made this bed by myself. I liked the fact that the sides are optional. The bed looks and works fine without them if you are going to have it pushed up against the wall. The sides are also easily attached. Having put the bed up my only concern is that there is a lot of free sided space. I think I would have preferred that the sides went a little longer down the side of the bed or it had an end as my daughter is a very active sleeper. However the bed is low to the floor so if she falls out it is not far to go. I am not sure that I would call the wood an Espresso colour but it is dark...
