Required retrofitting to be used as a chest - carelessly fully assembled

It did come fully assembled, but was heavily scratched on the outside and all of the drawers were basically non-functional. The wood exterior which is strong does not match up with the aluminum and plastic used to keep the drawers on track.

Some tracks were broken completely. I ended up replacing them all with wooden tracks that I later bought on Amazon cause there was no way I was going to try and ship this 200 lbs chest back.

If you look at where the different parts are assembled you can see the carelessness of those who assembled it. Screws are angled and not flush with the surface. Luckily most of this is hidden from the casual observer. After a furniture pen to cover scratches, removing old plastic tracks and replacing with wooden ones, and of course the additional $80 spent on those items it doesn't look half bad.

I think these people know you're not going to ship this thing back so proper care in construction is not taken.
